Interference question

Post by dirtslinger »

I just put a tk-730 in my computer room and when put on scan it stops on a few channels and stays there. I have found the problem but am unsure of how to fix it. If I unplug the power to my DSL box for my internet the radio works fine. It also does the same thing with my tk-2170. Is there a simple cure for this or would buying longer cables for the DSL box and putting it in another room work.
Thanks Jeff

DSL is just noisy, puts out alot of hash and trash on the VHF high band. My Westel modem puts out a solid carrier on 155.61 dead on freq. Only thing you can do is run full CTCSS/DCS decode or move the radio to another room (tone remote?).
