The Radio Information Board

I have been looking at the P-25 capable Icom 2821. I downloaded the manual, but there are questions it didn't answer. Here they are:
1.This is a long shot, but will the Icom 2821 transmit and receive alpha-numeric ID's? I think Motorola calls these "soft ID's" 2. How many channels can you have in a bank or group? 3. How many channels can you scan at one time? Thanks for any input.

OK..I have the 1721 and F70. Not sure on alpha but will try it. As for freqs and banks..unlimited to an extent. I have 70 channels in my first bank (scan them all) but 25 in the next. You can set it up about any way you want.
