tk-3180 battery life

Have a tk-3180 that seems even with a newer battery to have a poor battery life. Have seen on more than one radio.

If you are relying on the battery gauge on the front, there was a service bulletin and firmware upgrade to cover that. My situation was the battery guage was showing empty after about 3-4 hours, but radio still worked. (red tx light wasnt flashing). I dont have the info in front of me, but can dig it up if you dont have it
