Hi everybody,

I'm having problems with reading my TK-3160.

Is there some special key command eg. holding the PTT button down when turning on the radio or so??

I'm currently getting this error:

Please check all connections and communication port settings.

By the way, I'm using software version "KPG-82D"

You are using the correct software. There are no tricks needed to program,as the software/cable put the radio in program mode. Make sure you have selected the correct com port.

Most of the newer kenwood radios won't work unless you have a genuine kenwood programming cable. You need a genuine kenwood cable part # KPG-22
