90 series and 5710/5810 compatible for dual band?

Question...
Being the 5710/5810 P25 mobiles are built off the 90 series and are nearly identical, can you dual band an 890 and a 5710? I've got a dual band 730/830, but a lot of channels in the area are going narrowband and/or digital. No UHF freqs are digital thusfar, so I don't have a need for a 5810, only a 890. However, nearly all of the public safety's in the area are going p25, so I'd like to monitor for work/volunteer without having multiple radios possibly down the road.
Has anyone ever heard of this or tried this?
