I picked up a new TK-8180-K How well Kenwood work in 440 Ham Band ! this is 450-520mhz...Model

Should work fine.All kenwoods I have used worked fine in the ham band

Yes and no. My Type 1 TK-890's won't drop below about 443 MHz. I'm sure there's a way to adjust it, I just haven't gotten around to doing it yet.

Got Radio all programed up and working fine on gmrs and 440 ham, Nice radio

Agreed, very nice radios.

For a ham radio/hobbyist like me they're nice because they're new enough that accessories are easy to get but old enough that I don't have to pay an arm and a leg for one! :grin:

I Been running tk-8180H 45 watt 450-512mhz with no problem. I picked up a 8180 450-512 25 watt and it wont lock on 441.00 and has a intermittent lock 442.000 anyone have this experience? Can I retune it to lock on those freqs?
