Can some one tell me what the differences is in the VX-500 and the VX-510?

From what i remeber, cosmetics. The housing is a little different. There were some changes inside, but nothing to really set them apart. They both did have display problems. Dropping them hard, would often destroy the display.

Both reliable radios. A little heavy, but reliable.

Besides the two little ridges on the top I think the only difference is that the 510 will do narrowband on a per channel basis.

They use different software but the same batteries and accessories.
