The Radio Information Board

Ok Guys I traded up a kenwood tk-760G 25 watt version, the problem I'm having is that on the display it is showing WARE, and the radio will tx, the volume will go up and down, ect , but for some reason can not read or upload anything to the radio..I Have the correct software and programming cord, anyone have any ideas?
I talked to a tech at kenwood office and they really want you to send it in instead of giving any info and pay those big $$$ per hr.

OK guys I traded up another one of these radios and it has the exact same problem, any ideas?
