I have a TK760G-1 that goes dead and resets when the mic is keyed. It comes back on when key is released. Amp meter does not jump. I have moved it to the bench and it still does it. What causes this?

Sounds like it isn't getting enough power. Try measuring voltage inside the radio where the leads come in. Also look for cold or cracked solder joints.

Voltage is OK on circuit board. No better when holding pressure or tapping on circuit board.

Where are you measuring the +12 volts? You need to look at the high current going to the transmitter. A poor
crimp connection, a loose fuse or a bad fuse can all do the same thing.
My bet is you have low voltage to the radio some place. You might also try connecting the negative side of your
volt meter to the negative wire at the power source. The go in search of where your voltage problem is.
