Bendix King EPH questions/issues

Hey everyone- first post here.

I recently purchased a Bendix King EPH surplus radio from an agency that upgraded to UHF. I want to reprogram the radio for my current job, but I have two problems/questions:

1. No matter which channel I switch to, they all display 012.0710 on the display. I don't know what this means, considering the radio was originally programmed to the 150.000s.
2. Whenever I put a paper clip between the two prongs on the side to program it, then hold FCN simultaneously as instructed to enter programming mode, it gives me a different beep sound and will not enter the programming mode.

Anyone know what to do here? Thank you in advance everyone!

Does the radio just display a different random frequency because I'm out of range of the tower?

Seems like you might have a faulty radio.
