The Radio Information Board

I have a efj 53sl and when i hook up 12v to it it does not turn on i was wondering if it had a acc that needed 12v also like a car radio ?
if so does anyone know where it would go ? thanks

Pin 6 of the accy connector must also be hooked up to a 12v source (ignition sense).
EFJ in all their wisdom (sarcasm icon here) decided to NOT have a way to disable that.
