GE MPD problem

GE MPD problem

I have a couple of GE MPD portables that will not turn on. I know the batteries are working fine but cannot get them to power up at all. Is there some secret common problem with these or any tips on checking them out? They are just standard VHF scan models. Thanks for any responses.

Did you check the fuse located by the battery terminals in the middle.
