The Radio Information Board

I have to try and lock a few radios on comercial freq.
can any body help i do not mind doing chanes in the radio so that the end user can not change the freq,only the set channels.
I would appreciate any help or advice.

If you do the diode cut frequency expansion mod then the radio will only read "CHANNEL NUMBER" when you go to the memory mode. Whether you do this or just leave it to display frequency, it seems it would be a simple mattter to modify the memory/VFO pushbutton so that after you programmed in the frequencies and went to memory mode, you could disconnet the M/V button. Then the user could not access the VFO and would only be able to access the preprogrammed memory channels. Art - KC7GF
