Orion head question

Orion head question

I saw what could be described as a "A7" head for the Orion. Are heads interchangable without a problem or is it a pain in the ass like the motorola radios? What additional functions are gained?

switched easily - its just a change in the software - no hardware issues.

The only difference is the System or Scan head. More/fewer buttons.

Head question

I have a VHF orion dual head setup, i have the scan heads right now, would it be confuding to the radio to run a systems head on the primary control face plate and a scan 4 button head on the auxillary unit?
